Lucknow: The police said that a man has been arrested for the murder of his wife and young daughter in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh. After murdering his wife and child, the man alleged staged a robbery to mislead the police.
Giving details about this incident, police said that the accused was identified as Neeraj Kushwaha. He had an argument with his wife Manisha over his extramarital affair. His wife identified as Manisha. During the fight, He struck Manisha with a cricket bat, resulting in her death. He also allegedly killed his one-year-old daughter.
To mislead the police, the accused decided to make it look like a robbery and injured himself and also vandalized his house. He then contacted a friend and claimed that a group of masked men broke into his house, committed murders and stole valuables.
However, the police became suspicious after inconsistencies in Neeraj’s statements and the absence of evidence supporting his claims of robbery. During police interrogation, the man eventually confessed to the murders, revealing that his constant arguments with his wife over her affair led to the murders.
