Lucknow: Three people, including two women died after a mound of mud collapsed on them in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. This incident happened near Jhingurdah Hanuman Temple in Anpara police station area of Sonbhadra, UP.
After receiving information about this incident, Police reached the spot and started rescued operation. According to the information received by police, the local people pulled out the the victims — Rameshwari Devi (40), Shivkumari (35) and Ramsurat (40) — who died in the accident.
In this incident one person was injured. He was identified as Ramjatan Gurjar (50), resident of Sagardah Tola. After the incident he was shifted to the hospital by the police.
Giving information about this incident, Circle Officer (CO) Amit Kumar said some people belonging to Bairpur Tola had come to collect soil from a mud hillock when the mound collapsed on them.
The CO Amit Kumar said that the accident occurred due to the collapse of the mound while extracting soil for painting the house. All the bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The condition of the injured is out of danger.
