WPL 2023: The Women’s Premier League (WPL), starting today, will begin with the opening ceremony. This opening ceremony will start just two hours before the first match. In this ceremony, where Bollywood actresses Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon will give a bang dance performance. And famous singer AP Dhillon will entertain the audience with his songs.
In this 23-day league, 5 teams will play 20 league and two knockout matches. The tournament will begin today at 7:30 PM at the DY Patil Stadium with a match between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. All 22 matches of the competition will be played at DY Patil and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
In the inaugural season of TATA WPL, the tournament will take 5 women’s cricket teams to participate and each team has to go through Round robin and then a playoff round.
The first match will be between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians at DY Patil Stadium. While Gujarat Giants will be captained by Beth Mooney, Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen leading Mumbai Indians. The final of the WPL to be held for a total of 5 teams will be held on 26 March.

The live telecast of the opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League will be done on Sports-18 1 and Sports-18 1HD channels. Live streaming of this ceremony will also be available on Jio Cinema app.
