During an election rally in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath leveled serious accusations against the Congress, alleging that the party’s manifesto hints at implementing Sharia law and redistributing people’s property if they come to power.
Adityanath highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on Congress’ manifesto, which purportedly includes plans for redistributing property. He questioned whether the country would be governed by the Constitution crafted by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar or by Sharia law.
Accusing Congress of intending to implement “vyaktigat kanoon” (personal laws), Adityanath linked it to the restoration of Sharia law, which he claimed would happen if Congress took power, citing Modi’s efforts to curb practices like triple talaq.

The Chief Minister alleged that Congress aims to confiscate and distribute people’s property, urging voters to reject the party’s alleged plans for looting. He criticized Congress for allegedly cozying up to criminals while eyeing citizens’ assets.
Adityanath referenced a statement by former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, suggesting that Muslims have the first right on the country’s resources. He questioned the fate of marginalized communities and women under such a policy, emphasizing the need to safeguard their interests.
