Uttar Pradesh/Lakhimpur Kheri: A horrific road accident has taken place on National Highway-730 in Lakhimpur Kheri district of UP. A speeding I-20 car hit a tractor and two pedestrians. Due to this, both the passers-by were killed and the tractor broke into two pieces. On getting the information, the villagers who reached the spot blocked the highway. Due to this, there was a jam of about 10 kilometers.
Significantly, a high-speed I20 car going from Gola to Lucknow hit a tractor and passers-by on the National Highway near Haraiya village of Hyderabad police station area. The collision was so strong that the tractor split into two and both the passengers died on the spot. The car also overturned, however, all the five people, including the 6-month-old baby girl in the car, escaped unhurt.
As soon as the information about the death of two people was received, a large number of people of the area reached the spot and blocked the highway. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and sent the injured in an ambulance to the hospital for treatment. Along with this, the dead bodies were sent to the district headquarters for postmortem. At the same time, somehow pacified the people who blocked the jam by persuading them.
The police has assured appropriate action to the angry people. Regarding the accident, CO Gola Rajesh Kumar told that on getting the information, he along with the team reached the spot. The reasons and other aspects of the accident are being investigated.
