3 missiles misfired in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer on Friday. Three surface-to-air missiles were fired during the Army’s exercise at Pokaran Field Firing Range in Jaisalmer, but all three missiles exploded in the sky and two of the three missiles were fired from villages Panchayat Ajasar and Satyaya of Pokaran Assembly of Jaisalmer district. Came close and fell down. At the same time, the Indian Army is still searching for one missile. Debris of 2 missiles has been found, the search for the third one is on. However, there is no news of any damage due to the missile fall.
Missile fragments found outside the firing range
According to sources, all the three missiles fell outside the field firing range after the explosion. Wreckage of a missile was found in Kachhab Singh’s field near Ajasar village outside the field firing range.
Whereas, the debris of the second missile was found in a deserted area away from Satyaya village. There was no loss of life due to the fall of the missile, but pits were made in the field.
Missile misfired due to technical fault
During this, 3 user trials of these missiles with a range of about 10 to 25 kilometers were done from the firing range. They were fired from the launching pad in the presence of army experts. But, possibly due to technical fault, it lost its way.
