Itanagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a tour of Arunachal Pradesh adjacent to the China border today. Be it North Bengal or Arunachal Pradesh, preparations to deal with China on the border should be firm. Beijing had recently released the Chinese names of some areas of Arunachal Pradesh. Under the ‘Vibrant Village Programme’, 2,967 villages will be developed in 46 blocks of 19 districts in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territory of Ladakh along the northern border. These will be developed as tourist centers by equipping them with drinking water, solar-wind energy, internet facility.

Along with this, Amit Shah will inaugurate 9 micro hydroelectric projects of Arunachal Pradesh government under ‘Golden Jubilee Border Lighting Programme’.

Amit Shah, in his first visit to Arunachal Pradesh as home minister, will inaugurate nine micro-hydel projects of the state government built under the ‘Golden Jubilee Border Lighting Programme’ at Kibithu on April 10, a home ministry statement said. .
