New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s health has taken a turn for the worse since his incarceration in Tihar jail, with reports indicating a weight loss of 4.5 kg. Despite assurances from jail authorities about his well-being, concerns persist over his fluctuating blood sugar levels.
Kejriwal, held in connection with a money laundering case, has been experiencing health issues, including fluctuations in blood sugar levels, in his confinement in jail number 2. Reports suggest his blood sugar dropped alarmingly, prompting medical intervention to stabilize it.
As a diabetic, Kejriwal receives medical attention and is provided with a sugar sensor to monitor his blood sugar levels closely. Jail officials have deployed a quick response team near his cell for any emergency and are serving him home-cooked meals to ensure his well-being.
Despite his health condition, Kejriwal remains actively engaged, meeting with his lawyer and communicating with his wife through video conference. However, his plea for interim relief faces legal hurdles, with concerns raised by the Enforcement Directorate about potential obstruction to their investigation.
Kejriwal’s petition for interim relief is slated for a hearing today as he navigates the legal complexities surrounding his arrest and detention.
