Patna: On Tuesday, An official order issued by the district magistrate said that all schools in Patna till class 8 to remain closed till January 20. As per the order, all schools including private, government, anganwadi and pre-schools will remain closed till January 20. This ban applies to all schools up to class 8. Teachers and parents are advised to contact school authorities for more up-to-date information.
An order also issued by Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said the school closure period has been extended in response to the ongoing cold wave conditions, which is threatening the health and well-being of students. The order also includes pre-schools and Anganwadi centres.
Earlier, District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has announced the closure of schools. Classes will resume on Monday. The classes for 9th to 12th standards will be conducted from 9 am to 3.30 pm as scheduled and no educational activities will be allowed after 3.30 pm. The order was initially scheduled to expire on January 16. However, the District Magistrate has extended it till January 20.
The Patna District Magistrate order further said that special classes for the upcoming Bihar Board Examination and ‘Mission Daksh’ (Dynamic Approach for Knowledge and Skill) will be excluded from the above order. Chambers will resume after seeing no reduction in cold weather conditions. Classes of 9th class will continue as per the scheduled schedule, this order does not apply to the special classes of Mission Daksha Board. Weather has done bad things in North India.
