Due to landslide Amarnath Yatra from Jammu suspended on Jammu-Srinagar NH-44

Srinagar: Amarnath Yatra has been stopped once again. The Amarnath Yatra has been suspended between Jammu and Srinagar due to landslides on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Officials said that a landslide occurred at T2 Marog Ramban. Heavy debris is lying on the road, due to which the Jammu-Srinagar NHW has been blocked.

Amarnath Yatra 2023: Amarnath Yatra has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the total number of pilgrims of the previous year. This year's Yatra seems to be a success because of its arrangements, services and careful management. The 24th batch of over 3,100 pilgrims on Thursday left the base camp here for the Amarnath cave shrine located in the South Kashmir Himalayas.

Dehradun: In view of the heavy rain alert, the Uttarakhand government has stopped the Kedarnath Dham Yatra at Sonprayag and Gaurkund. In this regard, officials said on Wednesday that due to continuous heavy rains, the administration is alert and Kedarnath Yatra has been stopped at Sonprayag and Gaurikund as a precautionary measure till the danger is averted.

Srinagar: Due to incessant rains and landslides, the Amarnath Yatra has been postponed for today as well. Earlier on Friday and Saturday also the yatra was stopped due to bad weather. Around 6,000 Amarnath pilgrims are stranded in Ramban. Due to the closure of Jammu-Srinagar NH, there has been a long queue of vehicles in Udhampur.
