Clear the way for the release of Anand Mohan, Nitish cabinet amended the law

Patna: The way for the release of Bahubali Anand Mohan in Bihar is now clear. His release may be due to the amendment in the law made by the Bihar government, which states that the murder of a government official in Bihar will also be seen as a normal murder. For this, the Bihar government has deleted the ‘murder of a government public servant’ from the relevant provision of the law. In this provision, it was said that no prisoner should be given the benefit of the mercy of the government.

Government’s decision clears the way for release

The Bihar government has amended rule 481 (1) (a) of the Jail Manual 2012 of the Parihar Act in the cabinet. Bahubali and former MP Anand Mohan will get a lot of benefit from this amendment of the government. It is expected that he may be released from jail as well.

DM G Krishnaiah is guilty in the murder case

In the case of murder of a government servant, the order of the Bihar government will not be required for the release of the culprits from jail. After the completion of the sentence period in jail, he will automatically be released under the provisions of general release. Please tell that in 1994, the then DM of Gopalganj G Krishnaiah was shot dead. Anand Mohan was punished in this case.

Please inform that Nitish Kumar’s government in Bihar has made a major amendment in the law. This amendment has been made in Rule-481 (i) (a) of the Bihar Prison Manual, 2012. In this rule, the murder of a government official was given special status, but in the amendment the word government official has been removed. In such a situation, such incidents will be counted in the category of normal murder. After completion of such murder sentence, the release of such convicts will be easy. There will be no need for a special order from the state government for this.

In the year 2008, while hearing the revision petition of the same case, the High Court converted Anand Mohan’s sentence to life imprisonment. Now his 14-year sentence has been completed. But he was unable to be released from jail because of the murder of a public servant. Now Nitish Kumar has abolished the rule which was an obstacle in the way of his release.
