Delhi Fire: Fierce fire in Jahangirpuri gutted more than 100 slums, many fire engines on the spot

New Delhi: A sudden fire broke out in the slums located in K-Block in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area at around 10 am on Sunday. More than 100 shanties were gutted in the fire.

New Delhi: A sudden fire broke out in the slums located in K-Block in Delhi Jahangirpuri area at around 10 am on Sunday. More than 100 shanties were gutted in the fire.

On information, more than two dozen fire engines have reached the spot to control the fire. There was chaos in the area after the fire. People were hastily engaged in taking out their belongings from the slums.

According to the information, no one has been reported injured yet. People say that some children are not being found now.

On the other hand, a fire broke out in a hostel room of Maulana Azad Medical College in the early hours of Sunday. According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS) director Atul Garg, the fire was reported around 6:09 am, following which fire engines were rushed to the spot.

The fire was in AC, furniture and clothes. A fire department official said that there was no report of any casualty in the fire.
