Earlier, the water level of Yamuna had crossed 205.48 meters on Monday morning. It was slightly above the danger mark of 205.33 metres, while several parts of the national capital remained waterlogged.According to the Central Water Commission, the water level, which had crossed the danger mark leading to inundation of large parts of the national capital, was recorded at 205.48 meters at 7 am on Monday, as against 206.02 meters at 8 am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Delhi Minister Atishi advised people living in relief camps set up by the government in the national capital not to return to their flood-affected homes as there was a “slight rise” in the water level in the Yamuna river following rains in some areas of Haryana. ” happened.

In view of the decrease in the water level of Yamuna, the Transport Department of Delhi Government has relaxed some of its travel restrictions. The entry of heavy goods vehicles into Delhi will now be restricted only from the Singhu border.

Apart from this, in the order issued by the Transport Department of Delhi Government, it has been said that interstate buses plying from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Jammu-Kashmir and Uttarakhand to Delhi’s ISBT Kashmiri Gate will be able to reach Singhu border only. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said the Wazirabad water treatment plant, which was shut down amid the flood-like situation in Delhi, has started producing 54 MGD (million gallons per day) of water and will soon be operating at full capacity. The plant has the capacity of producing 134 MGD of treated water.

In a tweet, Kejriwal said the equipment at the plant suffered the “most damage” due to the flood-like situation.Earlier, in an order issued on July 13, the entry of heavy vehicles into Delhi was restricted from Singhu Border, Badarpur Border, Loni Border and Chilla Border due to water-logging. However, heavy vehicles carrying food items and essential goods were kept out of it.
