In a tragic incident reported from Kota, Rajasthan, a man was allegedly beaten to death by his neighbours following a heated argument. The victim, identified as Sunil Valmiki, had a history of criminal cases against him, including attempted murder.
The incident unfolded when Valmiki, aged 33 and a resident of Chambal Colony in Kota, was returning home around midnight on Monday. Reportedly, three individuals residing in the same colony attacked him with sticks and sharp-edged weapons, leaving him critically injured.
Valmiki was rushed to MBS Hospital in Kota, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries during treatment the following morning. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, although it is believed that a heated argument occurred between the victim and the accused on Monday.
Following a complaint filed by the victim’s sister, the police have registered a case against the three accused individuals—Sumit Valmiki (19), Golu (30), and Piyush Valmiki (20)—under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The accused have been detained by the authorities, and the victim’s body has been handed over to his family after the completion of the post-mortem examination.
Valmiki had a history of seven criminal cases registered against him, including charges under IPC sections 307 (attempted murder) and 308 (culpable homicide).
