Fourth major earthquake in Turkey in 24 hours, 4300 deaths so far in Turkey-Syria

Turkey: Earthquake tremors were felt again in Turkey on Tuesday. The intensity of the tremors was 5.9. Earlier on Monday, there were three strong earthquakes in Turkey. The first of these earthquakes occurred at 4 am with a magnitude of 7.8. It caused the most havoc.

Turkey: Earthquake tremors were felt again in Turkey on Tuesday. The intensity of the tremors was 5.9. Earlier on Monday, there were three strong earthquakes in Turkey. The first of these earthquakes occurred at 4 am with a magnitude of 7.8. It caused the most havoc.

After this, earthquakes of 7.5 and 6 magnitude occurred. In Turkey, 2900 people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 4360 people have died in Turkey-Syria so far. Turkey declares 7 days of national mourning.

There was an earthquake in Turkey at 04:17 am on Monday. Its depth was 17.9 kilometers inside the ground. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Gaziantep. It is located 90 km from the Syria border. In such a situation, strong tremors of earthquake were also felt in many cities of Syria. It is said to be the strongest earthquake in Turkey in 100 years.

According to the US Geological Survey, there were 77 aftershocks after the earthquake. One of these tremors was of 7.5 magnitude. While one shock was of 6.0 magnitude. The epicenter of all these tremors was within a radius of 80 km from Gaziantep.

Devastation continues after Monday’s earthquake in Turkey and Syria. So far 4360 people have lost their lives in both the countries. The intensity of the earthquake was 7.8. The tremors due to the earthquake were so strong that thousands of buildings collapsed like a pack of cards. The Turkish administration says that 5606 buildings have collapsed so far. The same scene of devastation has been seen in Syria as well.

So far 4360 people have lost their lives in Turkey and Syria. While more than 15000 people are injured. Turkey has destroyed more than 5600 buildings due to earthquake. There is news of 2900 people killed in Turkey alone. Whereas in Syria, 711 people have died in government-controlled areas and 740 in rebel-controlled areas. 3531 people are injured in Syria, while 14483 people are injured in Turkey.

Turkey’s health minister told that the weather and the scope of the disaster are creating challenges for the rescue teams. Due to bad weather, even the helicopters of the rescue team are not able to fly. Not only this, there has been heavy snowfall in many areas of Turkey and Syria recently. Due to this, the temperature has also decreased.
