New Delhi: The police official said that a man died after a speeding Audi car hit him in Haryana’s Karnal. He added that two others with him were seriously injured in the accident. The impact of the car was so powerful that the man’s body was found in pieces after the tragic crash.
The police said that the deceased identified as Sahab Singh was out on a stroll post-dinner.The accident happened near the Jalmana village in Karnal when the man was walking on the road with his sister-in-law and niece after dinner. They were walking on Assandh Road when the speeding car hit them.
The police said that the two women also sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment at a hospital. According to reports, while Sahab Singh’s body was cut into at least 17 pieces, his sister-in-law’s leg was found several feet away from the accident site. The child meanwhile was found thrown in a field, some distance away.
Officials said that the villagers and the police found the woman’s severed leg, long after she and the child were moved to a hospital for treatment. The man’s body was gathered and sent to a hospital for post mortem. The police have seized the Haryana registration number black-colored Audi, and efforts are on to arrest the driver and his companion.
