Heavy rain lashes parts of Delhi-NCR; Waterlogging, traffic affected, more rain likely

New Delhi: Delhi wakes up to rain lashing parts of city since morning. The Meteorological Department estimates that it is likely to rain throughout the day today. Due to this monsoon rain, the weather of Delhi-NCR has definitely become pleasant, but the situation of water logging is also being seen at many places.

Due to continuous rains here, there is a possibility of increase in the water level of Yamuna. Please tell that on Friday the water level of Yamuna river had once again reached above the danger mark. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in Maharashtra, Haryana, Himachal, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab.

Today, the minimum temperature in Delhi can be recorded at 26 degrees and the maximum temperature at 34 degrees. It is expected to rain throughout the day in Delhi today. At the same time, it will be cloudy in Delhi on Sunday and there may be light rain. On Sunday, the minimum temperature can be recorded 26 and the maximum temperature can be recorded 36 degrees in the capital. Yellow alert of rain has been issued for the next 5 days.

In UP, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to moderate rain in 52 districts in the next two days. Its effect will be seen in western Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon rains will continue till 31st July. At the same time, it has been predicted to rain heavily in eastern UP after two days. Today there are chances of light rain with thunder and lightning in 46 districts including Lucknow, Barabanki, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Ayodhya. On the other hand, heavy rains are expected in 18 districts including Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Kaushambi, Hamirpur and Mahoba.

There is a possibility of rain in 177 districts of Punjab today and tomorrow. Less than normal rainfall has been recorded in 10 districts last week. Due to continuous rains on the mountains, the water level in Bhakra Dam and Pong Dam is increasing rapidly. Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has decided to release 98 thousand cusecs of water from Bhakra Dam and Pong Dam.

Heavy rain is expected in many areas in Madhya Pradesh today. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in the districts of Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions. Today, a yellow alert has also been issued for moderate to heavy rains in more than 25 districts of the state. In these districts, along with rain, there is also a possibility of lightning. Monsoon system will remain active in the eastern part for the next 2 days. Due to which there will be a period of rain in the south-eastern part as well.
