Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms kills 12 in Rajasthan, several injured; Orange alert issued

15 people have died due to storm and rain in Rajasthan. Maximum number of people have died in Tonk district. Rain and dusty winds have been lashing the entire state for three days, due to which trees and electric poles have fallen.

Jaipur: Weather Update Today: The rains continued in Rajasthan for the third consecutive day on Friday. Hail also fell along with rain in many districts of the state. Earlier, on Thursday late night, there was a lot of damage due to storm and rain in many districts of the state. 15 people have died in the state due to storm and rain.

12 People dead in Tonk district
Out of those who have died, 12 people are residents of Tonk district. One person each died in Dholpur, Jaipur and Dausa districts. In this way, a total of 15 people have died from Thursday to Friday morning.

Trees and electric poles fell from the storm
According to the information, on Thursday night, there was a round of strong winds at a speed of 96 kilometers per hour, which plunged many areas into darkness. Electricity failed. Trees and power poles were downed by the storm and rain.

Three people died due to the collapse of the wall of the house
-A wall of a house collapsed in Dhanna Talai area of ​​Tok city late on Thursday night due to strong wind.
-In this accident, along with the death of three people of the same family, four people were injured.
-In this village, one person died due to lightning.
-The deceased Mustaq was sleeping there to guard the farm near his house.
-Three people each died in Niwai and Dooni, one each in Todaraisingh and Uniyara in Tonk district in rain-related accidents.

Hail accompanied by heavy rains occurred in many areas of Jaipur, Tonk, Karauli, Dhaulpur, Sawaimadhopur, Jodhpur, Jhunjhunu, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Bharatpur, Dausa, Sikar, Nagaur and Alwar districts from Thursday late night till Friday. There was also a period of dusty winds.

Most of the districts of the state remained cloudy since morning on Friday. A drop in temperature has been recorded due to rain. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has instructed the district collectors to provide relief to the victims of rain-related accidents. District collectors will be able to provide financial help to the relatives of the deceased.

BJP State President CP Joshi has demanded the government to provide financial assistance to the relatives of those killed in the rain and storm, as well as help those whose houses have been destroyed. It is worth mentioning that since May 24, the period of rain and strong winds is continuing in the state.
