Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in a complex in Secunderabad, 6 including 4 girls died

Hyderabad: A massive fire broke out in a complex in Secunderabad, 6 including 4 girls died

Hyderabad: At least 6 people died in a massive fire that broke out in Swapnalok premises in Hyderabad’s Secunderabad on Thursday night. Among the 6 people who lost their lives, 4 are girls and 2 are boys. Let it be known that this is a multi-storied commercial complex.

DCP Chandana Deepti of Hyderabad North Zone informed that the cause of death will be ascertained after the investigation, although it is likely that these people died due to suffocation. The official said, ‘We have received information that six people have died. He said that the fire has been brought under control.

The official further said that 12 people were admitted to different hospitals and six of them died during treatment in one of the hospitals, the rest are still undergoing treatment. The victims hail from Warangal and Khammam districts of Telangana. Officials said he was employed by a marketing company, which had an office in the premises.

According to an eyewitness, the fire broke out around 9.30 pm in the premises where there are several offices. More than 10 fire tenders, including four fire tenders, were dispatched to the spot to douse the fire as huge flames were emanating from one floor of the eight-storey building. Another official monitoring the rescue operation said that a lot of smoke was billowing from the building till midnight and it would take some time to subside.

He said rescuers were still searching the area for anyone trapped inside. The official said that initial investigation has indicated short-circuit as the cause of the fire. Earlier in January, three people died in a massive fire in a five-storey commercial building in Secunderabad. The fire-damaged building was later demolished.
