IMD forecast predicts rain and thunderstorms occur in these states from March 16 to 19

According to the Meteorological Department, from March 16 to 19, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorm or hailstorm in interior parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, MP. Apart from this, widespread rains are expected in eastern India during March 16 to 20 and northwest India including western Himalayan region during March 17 to 19.

New Delhi: The weather will soon take a turn amid rising temperatures and scorching sun in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed hope for some relief from the heat. According to the forecast of IMD, many states including Delhi, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan are likely to receive rain with necessity. Due to this, there is some hope of relief from heat with some drop in temperature. Let’s know the weather of the country.

According to the Meteorological Department, from March 16 to 19, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorm or hailstorm in interior parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, MP. Apart from this, widespread rains are expected in eastern India during March 16 to 20 and northwest India including western Himalayan region during March 17 to 19.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, scattered rain and snow will continue over the Western Himalayas for at least the next 4 to 5 days. However, after this, the weather will remain dry. The weather department has issued yellow and orange alerts for rain in different areas. Orange alert is in place for parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka and yellow alert has been issued for several areas including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and Himalayan region.

In the country’s capital Delhi, today i.e. on March 16, the sky will be generally cloudy and there may be rain or thundershowers once or twice. Talking about the temperature, the minimum temperature can drop to 16 degree Celsius. While the maximum temperature may register an increase. This temperature can reach up to 34 degree Celsius. Talking about the coming days, the weather will remain like this for the next few days.

Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, today (Thursday), on March 16, the sky will be clear and the minimum temperature can reach 18 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature can reach 31 degree Celsius. However, there are chances of rain here in the next few days as well. Talking about Noida, the sky will be clear here and the minimum temperature can be recorded up to 19 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature can be recorded up to 33 degree Celsius.

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, light to moderate rain may occur at one or two places in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland today. Light to moderate rain with one or two intense thunderstorms very likely over West and South Rajasthan, Gujarat, parts of Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.

At the same time, tomorrow i.e. from March 17, rains will start in parts of Karnataka, Kerala, AP, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. Heavy rain may occur over Telangana, Marathwada, North. Moderate to heavy rain may occur over parts of Interior Karnataka and South Chhattisgarh on March 17 and 18.
