New Delhi: Asad, the accused in the Umesh Pal murder case and son of ‘Bahubali’ Atiq Ahmed, has been killed in an encounter. Shooter Ghulam has also died in the massacre. Both were carrying a prize of five lakh rupees each. Shooter Ghulam was killed by UP STF in Jhansi. Both Asad and Ghulam had new SIM cards and new phones. Foreign weapons have also been found from them. It is being told that Asad and Ghulam fired at the police and in response the police fired. During this both were killed.

Ghulam was also involved in the Umesh Pal murder case, who was seen wearing a cap in the CCTV footage related to the case. The slave was absconding. He was associated with Atiq Ahmed’s family for a long time. He was a resident of Mariyadih, where in the past the gang has carried out many sensational incidents.

The UP police was looking for Asad, son of Atiq Ahmed, accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, for the last several days. Asad stayed in Delhi for 15 days. According to the information received from the police, he was hiding for 15 days at places other than South and West Delhi. Later he changed his location from Delhi as well. Last month, on the information of UP STF, the Counter Intelligence Unit of Delhi Police Special Cell arrested three accused of helping Assad in the Arms Act case and handed them over to UP STF.

In Uttar Pradesh, on 24 February, Umesh Pal and his two security personnel were shot dead in the Dhumanganj police station area. The whole incident was captured in the nearby CCTV cameras, with the help of which most of the shooters were identified. Umesh Pal’s wife Jaya Pal lodged an FIR in this matter at Dhumanganj police station the next day of the incident.

In this FIR, former MP Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf, wife Shaista Parveen, Atiq’s two sons, Atiq’s companions Guddu Muslim and Ghulam and nine others were convicted for the attack. After this, the police formed several teams to nab the culprits and took swift action, the results of which are also coming to the fore.
