Kota: On Friday, police said that a final year BTech 27-year-old student allegedly died by suicide in his paying guest room in Kota, Rajasthan. They further said that the student was identified as Noor Mohammed. He (27) took the extreme step sometime on Wednesday but his body was recovered from his room in Vigyan Nagar area on Thursday night.

They added that no suicide note was recovered. According to the information received by police this is the third suicide reported from Kota in two weeks. Mohammed, a native of Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, was pursuing a B.Tech degree from SRM University, Chennai and was staying as a paying guest.

Giving details about this incident, Dharamveer Singh, DSP (Vigyan Nagar) said Mohammed studied at coaching institutes in Kota to prepare for the entrance exam from 2016 to 2019 and after taking admission in SRM University, he used to take online classes from his Kota PG.

Official said that he probably died on Wednesday. A mess boy noticed an untouched tiffin box outside Mohammed’s room on Thursday evening and informed the PG owner. Singh said that the police was informed about the incident at around 8 pm on Thursday night.
