In a surprising incident, a leopard was captured on CCTV as it entered the renowned Ghorakhal temple in Uttarakhand’s Nainital on Monday morning. The big cat was observed roaming around the temple premises in the early hours.

Leopard Enters Ghorakhal Temple in Uttarakhand. The CCTV footage recorded around 3.40 am on Monday reveals the leopard entering the temple complex and leisurely strolling around the Golu deity’s temple. Another camera angle captures the leopard crossing an open area within the temple premises.

The video further shows that the leopard stayed inside the temple premises for some time before eventually leaving.

Notably, on January 21, a leopard entered a residential area in Haryana’s Hisar, attacking two people. The capture of the leopard required a seven-hour rescue operation, beginning when a hawker selling newspapers spotted the leopard around 7 am in Rishi Nagar. CCTV footage from the area also captured the presence of the leopard during the incident.
