Madhya Pradesh: 3 killed, 26 injured as bus carrying soldiers colliding with car in Seoni district

Madhya Pradesh: On Saturday, the police said that three persons were killed in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh after a bus carrying Special Armed Forces (SAF) jawans overturned after colliding with a car. After getting information about this incident local police reached on the spot.

Madhya Pradesh: On Saturday, the police said that three persons were killed in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh after a bus carrying Special Armed Forces (SAF) jawans overturned after colliding with a car. After getting information about this incident local police reached on the spot.

According to the information, 26 others injured in this incident. Official said that one of the jawans sustained serious injuries and has been referred to Nagpur in neighbouring Maharashtra. The accident happened around 1 am near Dhanagadha village on the Seoni-Mandla State Highway, some 50 km from the district headquarters.

Keolari police station in-charge Chain Singh Uikey said to media a bus carrying personnel from the state police’s 35th Battalion of SAF from Mandla to Pandhurna (Chhindwara) collided with a car with five occupants including its driver.

He added that Kanhaiya Jaswani (75), Niklesh Jaswani (45) and driver Purushottam Mahobia (37) who were travelling in the car were killed in the accident. All victims were residents of Mandla.

A police officer said that two other people in the car were injured and are being treated at Keolari Government Hospital. The officer said that the people in the car were returning from Nagpur for some hospital related work.

After the accident, the bus carrying the SAF jawans overturned. A total of 26 SAF jawans were injured and were taken to Keolari Hospital. He said that one of them has sustained serious injuries and has been referred to Nagpur. He said that the matter is being investigated.
