Madhya Pradesh: A recently captured video that doing rounds on social media shows rats feasting on food at an IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) stall, raising concerns about the hygiene and safety standards of food served to train passengers. The 37-second viral video, shared by a self-proclaimed rail enthusiast and Train wale bhaiya named Saurabh, has garnered attention on social media, with users expressing their dismay over the lack of hygiene control at railway station food stalls. In the clip, the rats can be seen seemingly inspecting the food when there are no humans around, leaving questions about the quality and safety of the edibles.

Saurabh, who shared the alarming footage, urged people to double-check hygiene elements before consuming food from railway station vendors. Expressing his caution, he mentioned that he personally avoids eating food from such establishments. The video was uploaded with a humorous caption that read, “Rats on IRCTC food Inspection Duty.”

Following the video goes viral, railway authorities were rapid in their response. In a tweet, Railway Seva assured the user that immediate action would be taken, requesting the user to share their mobile number for quick resolution. They also advised users to raise concerns directly on the official railway complaint platform or dial 139 for speedy redressal. The Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Bhopal division acknowledged the matter, assuring that concerned officials were being notified to ensure prompt action.
