Maharashtra Board exam: Class 12 Mathematics paper leak, case against 4 people including 3 students

Maharashtra Board 2023: Maharashtra Board's 12th paper has been leaked. Police has registered a case against 4 people in this matter. The Crime Branch team has started extracting the details of several WhatsApp numbers.

Maharashtra/Mumbai: The paypal of the 12th board of science stream has been leaked in Maharashtra. Part of a maths paper has been recovered from the mobile phone of a student at Dr Anthony D’Silva High School in Mumbai. Shivaji Park Police has registered a case against an unknown person including three students in this matter. Mumbai Police has told in this matter that the case has been handed over to the Crime Branch.

Case registered against 4 people
‘Case registered against 4 ppl incl 3 students in Maharashtra Board Class 12 Maths question paper leak yesterday. Part of the ques paper was recovered from mobile phone of a student at Dr.Antonio D’Silva High School&Jr College, Dadar. Case handed over to Crime Branch.

According to the information, a mobile was seized from a student at the exam center, when that mobile was checked, some part of the paper had come to him at 10.17 am. Seeing the seriousness of this matter, its investigation has been given to the Mumbai Crime Branch.

‘Student was caught with cellphone’

According to the complaint filed by the exam center head, a class invigilator approached him after the paper reported that a student was caught with a cellphone inside the exam hall. Students are not allowed to carry their cell phones in the exam hall. The head of the exam hall said that the student had shared the paper with a friend on the phone itself.

Special team is investigating

The paper leak case has been transferred to the crime branch and a team headed by DCP Prashant Kadam and senior PI Ghanshyam Nair is probing the matter. The crime branch will also obtain details of people who have WhatsApp numbers used to send question papers from one person to another.
