Pune: On Thursday, an official said that a person was dead after an electric transformer exploded in Solu village near Alandi of Pune district in Maharashtra. After receiving information about this incident, Fire brigade and police personnel rushed to the blast spot near Solu village.
Seven others sustained burn injuries in this incident, according to the information. The injured were shifted to a hospital and were being treated for the burn injuries they had sustained, the police said.
As per preliminary information shared by local residents, a police officer from Pimpri Chinchwad township said that a blast took place in an electric transformer near a defunct metal unit on the village’s outskirts.
He added, “We are confirming what exactly happened, but eight people sustained burn injuries in the incident and one of them later died.” In an another incident, a massive fire broke out in mutiple cars near Teacher’s Colony in Bandra East area of Mumbai, the officials said
