In Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a murder suspect out on bail was reportedly shot dead by an unidentified assailant, according to police reports. Superintendent of Police Somen Barma stated that an altercation occurred among individuals at the Dariyapur tri-section in the Kotwali police station area, resulting in gunfire.
Two individuals sustained injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Vijay Narayan Singh (43), one of the injured, succumbed to his injuries, while the other, Ajay Sharma, is currently undergoing treatment,” revealed the SP.
Singh, who was implicated in a murder case filed last September, had been released on bail by the Allahabad High Court. The SP indicated that the incident is believed to be linked to a business transaction gone awry.
