In light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and various festivals, Noida Police has extended the enforcement of CrPC section 144 in Noida and Greater Noida until April 26. Noida Police Imposes CrPC 144 Till April 26. The police order emphasizes the importance of maintaining peace and curbing any activities that could disturb public tranquility. Due to the urgency of the situation, the order was issued without providing an opportunity for a hearing to other parties.

Under the restrictions imposed, unlawful assemblies of five or more people, unauthorized processions, and demonstrations—whether political or religious—are strictly prohibited. Additionally, the use of private drones within a 1 km radius of government establishments is banned, along with the possession of weapons like sticks, rods, tridents, swords, and firearms in public places.

Moreover, the order prohibits religious processions, such as Namaz and pooja, in public areas without prior permission from designated authorities. It also prohibits actions that could incite religious tensions, including placing religious flags, banners, or posters on religious sites.

In adherence to these measures, the police urge citizens to refrain from provoking or participating in activities that may disrupt public order and communal harmony.
