Lahore: In a hair-rising incident, a mentally-disturbed man in Pakistan reportedly killed his wife and seven minor children with an axe as he was unable to feed them, according to police authorities. The accused has confessed to the crime.

A labourer, recognised as Sajjad Khokhar, killed his wife, 42, and their seven children including four daughters and three sons aged between eight months and 10 years. The murder was committed in Alipur, Muzaffargarh district.

According to source report, the incident took place in Punjab province of Pakistan. Accused Sajjad Khokhar killed his wife along with 7 minor children. It is being told that due to lack of money, the accused was very upset and often had disputes with his wife. After this heinous crime, Punjab Police has arrested the accused. Sajjad’s 42-year-old wife Kausar, four daughters and three sons died in this incident.

The accused man told the police that he could no longer feed his children and wife, due to which he committed murder. This incident has shocked the entire world including Pakistan. This means that the situation in Pakistan has become so out of control that the common people are bent upon destroying their families due to lack of money.

Sajjad was declared “mentally disturbed” due to financial stress. According to the Punjab Police, Sajjad often fought with his wife.

The accused has been arrested and a case has been filed against him for murdering his family. Sajjad also informed the police about the motive.

According to reports, Sajjad surrendered just hours after committing the murder. Pakistan is facing a serious financial crisis which is increasing with high inflation, slow growth and unsustainable debt.
