PM Modi met President Zelensky for the first time, said- ‘Ukraine war is a big issue for the world’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Kiev. India's Foreign Secretary Vijay Mohan Kwatra has confirmed Zelensky's invitation. Japan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Zelensky of Ukraine on Saturday in Hiroshima. This meeting took place at the G7 Summit held in Hiroshima, Japan. This is the first face-to-face meeting of the two leaders after the war between Ukraine and Russia. During this, PM Modi said that there is no solution to the problem of war. The world has suffered because of this. PM Modi said that India will do everything possible to find a solution to the Ukraine crisis. At the same time, Zelensky also told India in detail about his peace formula.

PM met Zelensky – will do whatever he can to resolve the war

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Hiroshima, Japan. This is the first meeting between the two leaders since the Russia-Ukraine conflict started last year. During the meeting with the President of Ukraine, PM Modi said, “Ukraine war is a big issue of the world. I do not consider it just an issue of economy and politics, for me it is an issue of humanity. He will do whatever he can.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit his country. India’s Foreign Secretary Vijay Mohan Kwatra has confirmed the invitation extended to PM Modi to visit Ukraine. However, he did not say whether PM Modi has accepted his invitation or not.

Zelensky, in his remarks, thanked India for supporting ‘the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country’ and for providing humanitarian assistance. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine began on February 24 last year, India Thousands of students were evacuated from Ukraine. The Indian delegation at the talks included External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval.
