Preparations in Full Swing: 45 Tonnes of Ghee-laden Laddus for Ram Mandir Inauguration

Ayodhya: As the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir approaches on January 22, the holy city of Ayodhya is abuzz with preparations. A unique touch to the grand event involves a team of skilled confectioners from Varanasi and Gujarat, who have descended upon Ayodhya to craft an impressive offering – 45 tonnes of laddus made with pure desi ghee.

Sweet Preparations in Full Swing

Commencing the sugary endeavor on January 6, the confectioners are in full swing, churning out approximately 1200 kg of laddus each day. The entire process is set to culminate on January 22, with these delectable treats being earmarked for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, where they will be presented as ‘prasad’ to Lord Ram.

Speaking about their sweet labor of love, one confectioner stated, “The laddus are being made using pure desi ghee and will be offered as prasad to Ram Lala on the 22nd of this month. We have been making laddus since January 6 and will continue doing so until January 22. In a day, we make around 1200 kgs of laddus. We have to make 45 tonnes of laddus for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.”

Global Attention and Invitations

The Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony has garnered global attention, with invitations extended to dignitaries and celebrities. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, joined by several prominent figures. Despite the significance of the event, some political figures, including Congress leaders, have declined the invitations, terming it an “RSS/BJP event.”

Vedic Rituals and Week-long Celebrations

The sacred ‘Pran-Pratishtha’ ceremony, commencing on January 16, will be preceded by Vedic rituals performed by priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi. Ayodhya will be immersed in the Amrit Mahotsav from January 14 to January 22, with the main rituals of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ scheduled for January 22.

Mass Feeding and Tent Cities for Devotees

In conjunction with the grand ceremony, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya is set to take place, providing sustenance to thousands of devotees. Ayodhya is gearing up with the erection of tent cities to accommodate the anticipated influx of devotees making their way to Uttar Pradesh for the much-anticipated ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.
