In a distressing incident in Rajasthan’s Banswara district, a man reportedly took the life of his wife with an axe, driven by suspicion over her friendship with another man. The tragic event unfolded early Tuesday morning in Poonia Kheda village, leading the perpetrator to attempt suicide.
According to Danpur SHO Rajveer Singh, the 32-year-old man identified as Raju attacked his wife Nani (30) with an axe due to suspicions regarding her “friendship” with another man. Following the heinous act, Raju attempted suicide by jumping into dry grass, setting it on fire.
Fortunately, authorities intervened in time, preventing the man’s suicide. Currently, Raju is receiving treatment at the district hospital, as confirmed by the SHO. The incident sheds light on the gravity of domestic disputes and the tragic consequences that can arise from unchecked suspicions and emotions.
