Shajapur/Madhya Pradesh: In ​​Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh, miscreants pelted stones in front of a religious place on Akshat Kalash Yatra on Monday evening. Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) have been imposed in three areas of Shajapur city in Madhya Pradesh, India. The imposition of Section 144 in Magaria, Kachhiwada and Lalpura, announced by Shajapur Collector Riju Bafna, is a measure to maintain law and order.

A dispute flared up in Magaria area on Monday evening and turned into a dangerous situation. The dispute led to stone pelting, in which one person was injured. In response to the violent incident, police have increased security measures in the affected areas.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against 24 identified persons and 15-20 unidentified persons involved in the incident. According to the FIR, a group of persons obstructed a procession on Nag-Nagin Road near a mosque. The procession was part of the pre-consecration ceremony activities of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The participants were reportedly attacked with swords and stones, leading to violent clashes.

After the incident, high-ranking officials including Ujjain Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Goyal and Inspector General Santosh Kumar Singh visited the spot. Shajapur MLA Arun Bhimavad stressed the need for speedy justice and restoration of peace and demanded immediate action against the criminals.
