Supreme Court Grants Permission for Abbas Ansari to Attend Father’s ‘Fatiha’ Ceremony

Supreme Court Grants Permission for Abbas Ansari to Attend Father’s ‘Fatiha’ Ceremony

The Supreme Court has granted permission to Abbas Ansari to participate in the ‘Fatiha’ ceremony in memory of his father, Mukhtar Ansari, who recently passed away in jail. The ceremony is scheduled for April 10, and the court has directed that Abbas Ansari be taken from Kasganj jail to his hometown Ghazipur in police custody, with adequate security arrangements.

Key Directions from the Court:

Abbas Ansari will be brought back to Kasganj jail by April 13, as per the directives of the Supreme Court.

Jail authorities have been instructed to ensure that Abbas Ansari starts his journey today, not later than 5 pm.

The court has also permitted Abbas Ansari to meet his family on April 11 and 12, with strict instructions for police authorities to frisk visitors and ensure no weapons are carried.

Additionally, Abbas Ansari has been instructed not to address any media during this period.

Mukhtar Ansari, a five-time MLA from Mau Sadar constituency, passed away on March 28 at Rani Durgawati Medical College. He was brought to the hospital from Banda jail after his health deteriorated.
