Uttar Pradesh : In a heartbreaking incident, a 32-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh lost her life allegedly due to the administration of a wrong injection by a quack. The victim, identified as Aasma, complained of stomach pain on Thursday night, prompting her family to rush her to a local clinic for treatment.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (rural) Manoj Awasthi, when Aasma’s pain persisted, a quack at the clinic administered an injection. However, instead of relief, her condition deteriorated rapidly, ultimately leading to her tragic demise.
A case has been registered against the quack, identified as Avneesh, and his associates Priyanka and Ajay, who are currently missing. The charges under the Indian Penal Code section 304A (causing death by negligence) have been pressed, reported Additional SP Awasthi.
Chief Medical Officer Dr RK Gautam stated, “We have dispatched a team of officers to the location to investigate the matter thoroughly.” In addition to shutting down the quack’s clinic, Dr. Gautam emphasized that legal action would be taken upon receiving the complete investigation report.
The victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and the investigation is actively underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the wrongful administration of the injection. The community mourns the loss of Aasma as authorities work to hold those responsible accountable for the tragic incident.
