In a heartbreaking turn of events, a 35-year-old man fell victim to a fatal assault allegedly orchestrated by his wife’s family following a dispute over gifts, as reported by the police.
The incident unfolded in a village near Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, where Chandra Prakash Mishra met a tragic end at the hands of his wife’s relatives. The dispute arose when Chandra Prakash decided to gift a gold ring and a television to his sister on her impending wedding, scheduled for April 26.
However, his wife, Chabi, expressed discontent over his decision, sparking a heated argument between the couple. The disagreement escalated when an enraged Chabi summoned her brothers to “teach Chandra Prakash a lesson,” according to officials.
Subsequently, Chabi’s brothers subjected the 35-year-old man to a brutal beating with sticks, lasting approximately an hour. Despite being rushed to a hospital by his family, Chandra Prakash succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Authorities have taken swift action, arresting five individuals, including Chabi and her brothers, and initiating an investigation into the tragic incident.
