Ukraine: 3 Killed and 20 injured in Russian rocket attack on residential building

Ukraine: Ukrainian officials said that at least three people were killed Wednesday and 20 wounded when a Russian rocket struck a residential building in the centre of the eastern city of Kramatorsk. Due to this 8 apartments of the building were damaged.

Ukraine: Ukrainian officials said that at least three people were killed Wednesday and 20 wounded when a Russian rocket struck a residential building in the centre of the eastern city of Kramatorsk. Due to this 8 apartments of the building were damaged.

After getting the information of the incident, the rescue team reached and got involved in evacuating people from the debris. Regional governor Pavlo Kirilenko said on the Telegram messaging app, “Two hours ago, Russian occupiers fired rockets at a residential building in the city center and completely destroyed it.”

Local officials had told in preliminary information that Russia had fired a rocket.But later the police force said that a Russian missile had hit a building at 9.45 in the night. The regional police said on their official website that it was “preliminarily known that there are three dead civilians and 20 wounded”.

At least eight apartments were damaged by the fall of the missile, police said in a Facebook post. One of those apartments has been completely destroyed. Also in the post, the police expressed the possibility of people being buried under the debris of the apartment.

“Peaceful people died and are under the rubble,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote after the rocket strike. “This is the daily reality of life in our country.” Let us tell you that last month, a Russian missile attacked a residential building in Dnipro city of Ukraine, in which a total of 44 people died.
