US: 25-year-old Indian student from Hyderabad, who went missing last month, found dead in Ohio

Hyderabad: An 25-year-old Indian student from Hyderabad, Mohammed Abdul Arfath, who has been missing since last month was found dead in Cleveland, United States. The Indian embassy in New York confirmed the news of his tragic death on X.

The Indian embassy in New York also assured the family members that it would coordinate with local agencies to secure a thorough investigation into Arfath’s death. The death of Mohammad Abdul Arfath, who hails from Hyderabad, is the second such incident within a week and the 11th in 2024.

The Consulate General of India in New York tweeted,”Anguished to learn that Mohammed Abdul Arfath, for whom a search operation was underway, was found dead in Cleveland, Ohio.”

The Indian Embassy said, We offer our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Mohammed Arfath. At the same time, we are in touch with local agencies to ensure a thorough investigation into the death of Mohammed Abdul Arfath.
