Uttar Pradesh: An official said that, an early hours on Tuesday, five people were killed as a speeding dumper vehicle rammed into an autorickshaw in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh. After receiving information about this incident local police reached on the spot.
According to the information, three others were critically injured in this incident. The injured have been admitted to a hospital. A video of the accident has been shared by on social media in which a badly damaged rickshaw can be seen.
According to initial information, people who got off the train at Karvi railway station on Tuesday morning took an auto to go to Chitrakoot. There were a total of 8 people in the auto.
A high speed dumper coming from Bhartiku on the highway near Amanpur hit the auto. Three people died on the spot, while five were sent to the district hospital, where doctors declared two dead. Police said that the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary for post-mortem.
About this incident, additional SP Chakrapadi Tripathi said media,”The incident happened near Jhansi Mirzapur National Highway. A speeding dumper collided with an auto-rickshaw, leaving 5 persons, who were travelling in the three-wheeler, dead on the spot. The condition of another three injured people is said to be critical. They have been referred to a hospital in Prayagraj for treatment.”
