Yamuna water level continues to recede; IMD issues heavy rainfall alert for next two days in many parts of India

Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain is likely to continue over the western part of the country during next 5 days. The IMD forecast said that there is a possibility of heavy rain and thundershower with lightning at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on July 17.

New Delhi: Rain continues to wreak havoc in North India as well. Monsoon is at its peak in Uttar Pradesh as well. These days it is raining heavily in the state. Due to rain, people are facing problems in many places in the state. It has been raining continuously in different parts of the state for the last two weeks. Normal life has been thrown out of gear due to heavy rains at many places. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has expressed a new possibility regarding rain.

Rains lashed several parts of the country late Sunday night triggering landslides in North India while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert in Himachal Pradesh for the next two days. The water level of Yamuna is continuously decreasing in the national capital. The water level was recorded at 205.50 meters at 11 pm on Sunday, which is still above the danger mark. Earlier on Sunday night at 8 pm, the water level of Yamuna river was recorded at 205.56 meters in Delhi. The Central Water Commission says that by tonight the water level of the river will come down below the danger mark.

Meteorological Department issued Orange Alert
The Meteorological Department has issued Orange Alert in some districts of the state on Saturday and Yellow Alert in 50 districts. Due to heavy rains in many states, the water level of rivers in UP has also started rising. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of heavy to very heavy rains between July 17 and 18. Due to this, the Meteorological Department has issued Yellow and Orange alerts for many districts.

The Meteorological Department has issued a new alert regarding the rain. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy on Monday as well and there may be thunderstorms in some places. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season will continue in many parts of the state for the next 24 hours. People have got relief from the heat due to continuous rains, due to which the weather has also become very pleasant.

Yellow alert in these districts
The Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday and Tuesday. Where there is a possibility of heavy rains in most of the districts of western Uttar Pradesh, light rains have been predicted in Purvanchal. Yellow alert has been issued in Sambhal, Saharanpur, Noida, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar, Kasganj, Aligarh, Sambhal, Badaun, Rampur in western Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rains in these districts.
