15 Candidates Submit Nominations for Third Phase LS Polls in Bhopal

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anupam Rajan announced that 15 candidates filed their nomination papers on the second day of nominations for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Anupam Rajan announced that 15 candidates filed their nomination papers on the second day of nominations for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections. This brings the total number of nominations to 22 since the process began on April 12.

The breakdown of nominations on Monday included four candidates in Gwalior, two in Sagar, one in Vidisha, three in Bhopal, and five in Rajgarh Lok Sabha constituencies. Notably, no nominations were filed in Morena, Bhind, and Guna Lok Sabha seats. Additionally, only one nomination is expected in Betul, which is yet to be filed.

CEO Anupam Rajan further stated that more than 99 percent of voter slips have been distributed for the seats going to polls in the first phase on April 19. The first phase will cover six Lok Sabha constituencies: Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, and Chhindwara. Distribution of voter slips has also commenced for the seven Lok Sabha seats scheduled for polling later.
