Nagpur: An official said that a man committed suicide after killing his live-in partner and their three-year-old son in Nagpur city of Maharashtra in a hotel room on Saturday night. The man was 30-year-old. After receiving information about this incident local police reached on the spot.
They were identified as Sachin Vinodkumar Raut, Naznin and son Yug. The bodies of all three people were found in a room in Golden Key hotel situated near Gajanan Colony in MIDC area by staff, who in turn informed the police.
A senior police official said,”Raut was found hanging from the ceiling fan, while his live-in partner Naznin was found with a head injury and a hammer with blood stains lying nearby. No injuries were found on Yug’s body.”
The police officer said that preliminary investigation suggests that Raut fatally attacked Naznin with the hammer before either poisoning or strangling the boy to death. the official added that he then hanged himself.
Raut was a truck driver by profession. He was already married and had two children. Police said that he had an extramarital affair with Nazneen, a native of Madhya Pradesh. He also said that Raut, Nazneen and the boy stayed at the hotel in the afternoon. He added that further investigation is underway. Police have registered a case of murder against the deceased Raut.
