BSP chief Mayawati says BSP will not give ticket to jailed gangster Atiq Ahmed wife

New Delhi: BSP chief Mayawati held a press conference in the capital Lucknow regarding the Municipal Corporation elections. Putting an end to the speculations of giving ticket to Atiq Ahmed’s family, Mayawati said that BSP will not give ticket to any member of Atiq Ahmed’s family. Regarding the municipal elections, Mayawati said that the elections should be conducted with ballot papers and not with EVMs. BSP welcomes municipal body elections.

BSP supremo Mayawati said that the name of Atiq Ahmed’s family is coming up in Umesh Pal’s murder. In view of this, we have decided that the BSP body will not give ticket to Atiq Ahmed’s wife Shaista Parveen and any member of his family in the election.

Mayawati said that these speculations should be put to rest now that BSP is going to give ticket to any member of Atiq Ahmed’s family. BSP will field a new candidate from Prayagraj. It will be announced soon.

Mayawati said that in this election, BJP will use sam, dam, danda, bhed all. BJP will enter the fray in 2024 by winning this election. Therefore, our full effort will be to defeat BJP in this election. Mayawati alleged that like SP’s goon rule, BJP leaders are also running goon rule in the state.

The events happening every day are proof of this. Names of BJP leaders are also coming up in these events. Dalit community is also being oppressed in the state. BSP will fight strongly against it.
