On Saturday, the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, participated in prayers at the Mahabodhi temple in Bodh Gaya. Notably, he opted for a battery-driven car for his commute from the Tibetan monastery where he is currently residing to the Mahabodhi temple, a distinguished UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Mahabodhi temple holds historical significance as the place where Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment over 2,000 years ago. The Dalai Lama’s visit and use of eco-friendly transportation underscore his commitment to spiritual practices and environmental consciousness.
Greeted by a multitude of Buddhist monks and devotees along the way, the Nobel laureate Dalai Lama, upon reaching the Mahabodhi temple, was ceremoniously escorted to the sanctum sanctorum by the attending priests.
