New Delhi: A prisoner committed suicide in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. According to the information, 26-year-old prisoner Javed has given his life. Allegedly committed suicide by hanging. Police has taken the dead body in possession and sent it for postmortem. The reason for the prisoner’s suicide has not been revealed yet. According to sources, this incident took place on Monday. The police of Hari Nagar police station is probing the matter.
According to the information of the jail administration, on May 22, the prisoner Javed was convicted by the Additional Sessions Judge-2 (FTC) South. He has been found guilty of dacoity, dacoity or using a deadly weapon in the course of dacoity, besides two other sections. After this he was brought to Central Jail No. 8/9. Here he committed suicide by hanging himself in the common toilet area at around 5 pm. The jail administration has informed all concerned about the incident. Its judicial magistrate inquiry has also started.
