Shimla/Himachal Pradesh: The Special Investigation Team of Shimla Police has arrested five people, including a Punjab Police constable and the son of a former Punjab minister, with drugs in Shimla late on Tuesday night.
These arrested accused were identified as Prakash Singh, Ajay Kumar, Avni, Shubham Kaushal and Baljindra. 42.89 grams of heroin and weighing machine have been recovered from the possession of the accused. According to preliminary investigation, accused Prakash Singh is the son of former Punjab minister Sucha Singh.
Accused Ajay is a constable in Punjab Police. A case has been registered against them under NDPS Act. According to the video released by sources, the youth are seen drunk.
Earlier in 2021, Prakash held under NDPC Act
In the year 2021 also, Prakash Singh, younger son of former cabinet minister Sucha Singh Langah, was also sent to jail in this case. During that time, Prakash was arrested by Dhariwal police along with four others with heroin. A case was registered against all under sections of the NDPC Act.
During that time, investigating officer Gurbachan Singh had told that the five accused were arrested and presented in the court after getting their medical done at Civil Hospital Gurdaspur. From where orders were given to send him to jail. Let us tell you that during that time the Corona period was going on, due to which after the Corona test, he will be shifted to the Central Jail.
