Maharashtra: 45-year-old man burns wife, 2 minor daughters alive in locked house

Maharashtra: An official said that a farmer killed his wife and two daughters by trapping them in their home and setting it ablaze in an Ahmednagar village. The man was 45-year-old. In two of them, one was 14-year-old and a toddler.

According to the information, the accused was identified as Sunil Landge. After the incident, Police have arrested the farmer. The incident happened at Pimpalgaon Landga village.

Official added that the victims have been identified as his wife Lalita, 35, and children Sakshi, 14, and Khushi, 1. They were all charred to death. He also said that Sunil did not attempt to escape and stayed put at the spot until the police arrived. Sunil has three other children – two daughters and a son – who live with his elder brother and mother, about 100m from his own house.

About this incident, Pralhad Gite, Assistant inspector said,”At 10.30am, Sunil Landge bolted his house from the outside and poured petrol in through the window. He then set the house ablaze.” The officer added,”By the time the neighbours heard the screams of the woman and children trapped inside, the house was up in flames.”
