Pakistan: On Friday, official said that a vehicle carrying five Japanese nationals was targeted in a suicide attack in Landhi area of Karachi. Police officials said that five foreign nationals, including people of Japanese origin, were in the car that came under attack in Landhi.
According to police reports, the attack happened in Mansehra Colony but resulted in no injuries to the foreigners. According to the information, following the incident, passengers were immediately evacuated to a safe, undisclosed location.
Tariq Mastoi, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir confirmed the nature of the incident as a suicide attack. He added that the bomber and one militant were killed in retaliatory fire that also caused damage to another vehicle nearby.
Firing was also reported during the attack, causing panic in the surrounding area.Emergency services immediately reached the spot and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The nationality of the victims has not been disclosed yet.
