The family lodged a police complaint against the dog owner, a 20-year-old named Anuj. An FIR was registered against him under Section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to an animal) of the IPC at Sector 5 police station on Thursday. Pitbull attacks woman
This is not the one incident, same happened in last year, a pitbull attacked woman named Riya Devi after a dispute over the dog’s frequent littering near her home in Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar. The argument escalated when the owner, in a fit of anger, allowed the pitbull to attack Riya. She suffered severe bite wounds on her hands and legs. Ownership of pitbulls without proper permission is illegal, and the Swaroop Nagar police have filed an FIR based on CCTV footage. The incident has left Street Number 14 residents uneasy, with parents now hesitant to let their children play outdoors due to fear.
